From student to teacher, Jennifer Musser has long been fascinated with how second language learners acquire their L2. She studied Japanese extensively both in the United States and in Japan, and she obtained her B.S. in Journalism and a TEFL Certification from Ohio University in 2009. After that, she went on to teach EFL in Japan for about seven years. This experience taught her a lot about individual learner needs and motivations while showing her there was much more she could learn about helping her students. Now that she has returned to the U.S., she is enrolled in the graduate TESOLprogram at Eastern Michigan University, where she also works with the IELTS Testing Center. When she isn't working or studying, Jennifer volunteers with a local refugee group and also looks for opportunities to travel. She has made it a goal to visit every continent at least once.
