Classroom Instruction 
Provide high quality English language instruction for international students seeking admission to higher education degree programs. Edit course syllabi to reflect current term, textbooks, office hours, contact information and additional course-specific information. Create and implement student-centered, task-based activities into lesson plans following the ELP established curriculum guidelines specific to course objectives and student learning outcomes. Integrate a variety of instructional methods and technology into classes. Plan and organize pre and post activities relevant to the determined field trips and cultural outings throughout the term. Be responsible for and lead assigned class during the outing. Produce appropriate and reliable assessment tools and conduct routine assessment to evaluate student progress throughout the term. Provide constructive written feedback on students progress at mid-term and end of term conferences. Maintain the ELP mission and policies. Communicate with the ELP Academic Coordinator regarding students progress and concerns. 

Program & Committee Responsibilities 
Coordinate activity or task or serve on university committee(s) that will contribute to 
and enhance the program as assigned by Assistant Director. Serve on committee(s) as assigned to maintain accreditation. Collaborate with ELP and IC staff on programs, curriculum, and activities. Participate in staff meetings. Collaborate on textbook evaluation and selection. Participate in student orientation, placement, registration, and scheduling. Attend professional conferences and workshops.

Administrative Responsibilities 
Hold office hours for academic consultation and advising for students (one hour/week per class scheduled). Maintain student progress and attendance records. Perform routine administrative work including record keeping, faxing, copying, and assist with student registration. Assist with daily operations as needed. Other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field is required. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in a second language as well as experience living and/or teaching English abroad. Applicants must have exceptional fluency in spoken and written English. Candidates with positive teaching evaluations and demonstrated excellence in the classroom are highly sought. Excellent interpersonal communication, written communication, and student service skills are required. Applicants must have exceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong cross-cultural communication skills and experience working in a diverse environment are required. Ability to work independently and contribute and collaborate effectively as a member of a team. Ability to handle communications, information, and data with sensitivity and confidentiality is required. Ability to follow University policies, rules and administrative procedures relating to student services. Experience in working in a higher education environment.

Desired Qualifications*

Member of professional associations such as TESOL or MITESOL. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is desired. Ability to multitask, adhere to deadlines, and adapt to changing demands and priorities.
