We are offering 3 new grants to support participation in our annual state conference. Each targets a population that has historically been under-represented at the conference, including:

  • Adult ESL educators (who work with adults in community-/church-/government-sponsored programs);
  • K-12 ESL professionals (who work with ELs in any capacity in K-12 contexts in Michigan);
  • ESL professionals who work in Michigan's Upper Peninsula

If you are a member of one of these groups, and you have not attended the MITESOL Conference in the past, please apply for a grant.

Recipients will have their conference registration fees waived (or reimbursed), and, in the case of the U.P. grant, also be awarded a $300 stipend to defray travel expenses.

MITESOL 2016: The Changing Faces of Diversity will be held October 14-15, at UM-Flint.

Deadline extended to Friday, September 16, 2016 for all 3 grants.
Applicants are eligible to win only ONE of these per year.)
