We are offering 3 new grants to support participation in our annual state conference. Each targets a population that has historically been under-represented at the conference, including:

  • Adult ESL educators (who work with adults in community-/church-/government-sponsored programs);
  • K-12 ESL professionals (who work/will work with ELs in any capacity in K-12 contexts in Michigan);
  • ESL professionals (in any level & context) who work in northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula

If you are a member of one of these groups, and you have not attended the MITESOL Conference in the past, please apply for a grant.

Recipients will have their conference registration fees waived (or reimbursed), and, in the case of the U.P. grant, also be awarded a $300 stipend to defray travel expenses.

MITESOL 2017: Promoting Equity and Excellence. will be held October 20-21, at Oakland Schools in Waterford, MI.

Deadline Extended:  September 1  Friday, September 15

(Applicants are eligible to win only ONE of these grants per year.)
