MITESOL Conference Travel Grants

We are offering 3 grants to support participation in our annual state conference. Each targets a population that has historically been under-represented at the conference, including:

  • Adult ESL educators (who work with adults in community-/church-/government-sponsored programs);
  • K-12 ESL professionals (who work/will work with ELs in any capacity in K-12 contexts in Michigan);
  • Upper Peninsula ESL professionals (in any level & context)

If you are a member of one of these groups, and you have not attended the MITESOL Conference in the past, please apply for a grant.

Grant amount: In order to make the conference more affordable, recipients will have their conference registration fees waived (or reimbursed). Additionally, in the case of the Upper Peninsula grant, recipients will also be awarded a $300 stipend to defray travel expenses.
