MITESOL Conference Travel Grants

We are offering 3 grants to support participation in our annual state conference, MITESOL 2018: Reaching All Learners, being held at Eastern Michigan University October 26-27, this year.

Each grant targets a population that has historically been under-represented at the conference, including:

  • Adult ESL educators (who work with adult ELs in community-/church-/government-sponsored programs);
  • K-12 professionals (who work or want to prepare to work with ELs in any capacity in K-12 contexts);
  • ESL professionals in the U.P. or northern Lower Peninsula (who work with English learners or teachers in any context)

If you are a member of one of these groups, please apply!

Award:  All grant awardees will have their conference registration fee waived or reimbursed

              Upper Peninsula awardees will also receive a $500 stipend to defray travel expenses

Deadline:  extended until October 6, 2018!

(Note: Applicants are eligible to win only ONE of these grants per year)
