Ellen Brengle

I grew up in Grand Haven, Michigan where we began learning German in third grade, and I added Spanish in seventh grade, continuing both through high school and leading me to study world languages at the University of Michigan for my BA and MA. I also learned to love meeting people from other cultures at an early age due to my family’s years of involvement in a foreign exchange program. What better way to combine both interests, than to ultimately become an ESL teacher? After many happy years of raising my family, I returned to school at Eastern Michigan University for my ESL Endorsement and have since been an ESL teacherwith South Lyon Community Schools - a job I thoroughly enjoy!
