Ellen Brengle

Ellen grew up in Grand Haven, Michigan, where she began learning German in third grade and added Spanish in seventh grade, continuing both through high school. This led her to study world languages at the University of Michigan for her BA and MA. She also learned to love meeting people from other cultures at an early age due to her family’s years of involvement in a foreign exchange program. What better way to combine both interests, than to ultimately become an ESL teacher? After many happy years of raising her family, Ellen returned to school at Eastern Michigan University for her ESL Endorsement and has since been an ESL teacher with South Lyon Community Schools - a job she thoroughly enjoys!
